MR. Promod Kumar
Chief Executive Officer
A professional marketer by profession with a hobby for travel. The hobby turned into passion and thus the birth of AL Karawan Tourism in 1997. As the founder from humble beginnings, he did not spare any time nor effort to bring the company to where it stands now. Today with strong ties with the Far Eastern markets and a branch in Vietnam, Kumar runs a hands-on operation to ensure the flag of Al Karawan is kept flying high. 44 years living in Dubai he has witnessed Dubai raise from the sands to the majestic city it is now. Fondly addressed as Papa by most as he treats his staff and partners as family.
Ms. Michele Coetzee
Travel Manager

Michele Coetzee is our Travel Manger and deals with all local and outbound Travel at Al Karawan Tourism and has over 15 years of Travel experience.  She joined our team in May 2021. Michele comes with a wealth of knowledge of corporate and leisure travel.  She has been in the Travel industry since 1994. She started her career in Travel in South Africa as a junior Travel Consultant and with her passion for Travel and go get attitude moved her way quickly up to Senior International Corporate Consultant in a Big International Corporate company as their inhouse Travel Consultant. 

Michele has offered clients exceptional value and fun with vacations stemming from affordable family vacations locally to those across the nation, to popular destination abroad, to high end luxury vacations, halfway around the world.  She has a passion for helping her clients reach their dreams by providing them with perfect package. 

Ms. Tharaka Withanavasam
Inbound Manager

Tharaka started her carrier in the travel industry in 2007. Her go-getter and customer care driven attitude saw her climb in the ranks from a trainee executive to manager in some of the blue-chip companies in Sri Lanka in a short span of 08 years. The thirst for growth did not stop there. In 2015 she landed on the shores of Dubai to explore a new destination. Though the principals of selling are the same the product was different, something out of her comfort zone but failure and the word NO are not in her vocabulary. It’s been 06 years down the line and a destination expert she is on her second leg of her journey in life with Al Karawan Tourism.

Ms. Pham Thi Hong Thu
Manager-East Asian Market
A vivid personality actively involved in the tourism industry since 2008 and also an official member of prominent tourism association across Vietnam fell in love with the UAE in 2015 and has never looked back. She has showcased Dubai to thousands of Vietnamese nationals and a pillar of strength for Al Karawan Tourism. Pham Hong Thu has worked very hard to gain the market share we have in Vietnam.
